I'm trusting my editors to help me clean it up for later drafts. Did you miss that part where I say that the Israeli High Court of Justice "called shenanigans"? I'd say that's far less appropriate in academic discourse.
Anyway, I didn't like the way "Why Settlers and the Separation Barrier Are Very Not Good in Relation to Environmental Peace" sounded. Do you have another suggestion for an adjective that properly expresses my disapproval for settlements and the separation barrier?
Lastly, of all the examples of things Western society may frown upon from Islamic societies, why would you choose that one? No, I wouldn't be upset if Israelis used the term cancerous to describe "honorcide." Clearly it is a cancerous practice if its something you immediately associate with Islamic society as a whole enough to bring it up in a discourse about Israel/Palestine, since its something that happens in much more conservative Islamic societies than you will find in Palestine.Shulchanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02406790530762852700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3952376713259248935.post-40414456601706979212010-03-03T02:28:18.555-08:002010-03-03T02:28:18.555-08:00Do you really think that the term "cancerous&...Do you really think that the term "cancerous" is an appropriate usage in academic discourse? If so, would you be upset if Israelis used the same adjective to describe, say, those persons who beat and kill women in Islamic society, 'honorcide' as it is called - and I choose a phenomenon that is not politically charged.YMedadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14333122797414935958noreply@blogger.com
